Students near Barrigada, Guam looking for a post-secondary, adult high school, GED, adult basic education, ESL, apprenticeship, or continuing education program have a home at Guam Community College. Fall registration applications are due by mid-August. At GCC you can earn an associate’s degree or certificate in programs like Automotive Service Technology, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Medical Assisting, Tourism & Travel Management, and many extra classes to learn interesting skills such as American Sign Language and office technology. Financial aid options include private loans and scholarships. There is also a two-year program called the College Access Challenge Grant Program, which helps underrepresented students in middle and high school prepare to enter college. The services include tutoring, help with college admissions and financial aid, student professional development, career goal assessment, academic counseling, skill set workshops and a summer academic program.
