Ozarks Technical Community College provides accessible and affordable career training and educational opportunities for residents of Spingfield, Missouri.
Ozarks Technical Community College has several different divisions through which professional associate’s degrees, associate’s degrees leading to four-year transfer, certificates and non-credit courses are offered.
Technical education programs include degrees and certificates in Automotive Technology, Graphic Design, Early Childhood Development and Hospitality Management among many others.
Another of its divisions, allied health, awards certificates in such fields as Dental Hygiene, Practical Nursing, Respiratory Therapy and Surgical Technology.
The general education department offers programs that generally lead to four-year transfers and include associate’s degrees with majors in Liberal Arts, Science, Education and Engineering, among others.
Ozarks Technical Community College’s developmental education program provides basic literacy training and basic training in math and study skills as well as GED prep.
The Community Enrichment Center at Ozarks is a place where students may take non-credit classes of personal interest in a variety of subjects.

State Fair Community College, Sedalia

State Fair Community College (SFCC) is the premiere source of educational
programs and career training for residents of Sedalia, Missouri and
numerous counties throughout the area.
State Fair’s academics and training opportunities are wide ranging, with
new programs being added all the time.
SFCC’s associate of applied science degree is for those who would like to
transition directly into a promising career. Majors in this category
include Agriculture, Automotive Technology, Dental Hygiene, Nursing,
Occupational Therapy Assistance, Radiological Technology and Web
Development.
The second degree option is the associate of arts, which is for those who
would like to continue on to a bachelor’s degree. Associate of arts
majors include a broad range of subjects in the liberal, performing and
fine arts as well as the humanities and sciences.
SFCC also offers an associate’s degrees in Teaching and Engineering.
For those who don’t have the time or money to spend two or more years in
school there is the professional or skills certificate option. These
programs average about a year in duration and provide training in fields
like medical coding and billing, pharmacy technology, practical nursing
and welding.
In partnership with Central Methodist University, SFCC even awards
several bachelor’s degrees.
Students can take classes at any time of day or night, on the weekend, in
the summer in shortened formats and online.
Student life at SFCC is eclectic as well. A museum, theatre and art
gallery can all be found on campus, as can numerous intramural sports and
student organizations.
While admission to many programs at SFCC is open, most medical and allied
health programs have additional requirements.

North Central Missouri College

North Central Missouri College, located in Trenton, Missouri, is proud to
foster a community of educational pursuit and curiosity. NCMC offers
associate’s degrees for those looking to transfer to a four-year
university, and specialized associate’s degrees and certificates to help
jumpstart a student’s career.
A student can choose between a two-year associate’s degree or a one-year
vocational certificate. The associate’s degree for career-track students
can be earned in concentrations from Business and Criminal Justice, to
Agriculture and Health Care Studies. Career certificates include the same
list of concentrations as the associate programs, but also includes Wind
Energy Technician.
Associate’s degrees can also be earned with further education in mind.
Transfer-track programs allow students to earn the credits they need to

Mineral Area College

Since its beginnings Mineral Area College has been committed to serving
its community in every way possible.
Located in Park Hills, Missouri, Mineral Area serves students throughout
the counties of St. Francois and Madison, as well as those from
Washington and Genevieve.
Students at Mineral Area may obtain an associate’s degree or certificate
leading to a career or to a four-year college transfer. Academics include
programs offered in the liberal arts, sciences, medical and technical
fields. One of its younger and more popular divisions is its law
enforcement academy, which trains a large number of the region’s law
enforcement officials.
Mineral Area is always expanding and growing to better serve its
communities. For this reason, they have implemented additional programs
such as Senior Scholars, which allows senior citizens to attend Mineral
Area tuition-free.
There is also a kid’s college and a continuing education division for
those who wish to take courses of personal interest. Mineral Area
students may also take classes online and through other means of distance
education.
Mineral Area has also grown its cultural options to include a sizeable
performing arts complex and program where students may major in theatre
and perform on Mineral’s full-fledged stage.
A Telecommunications and technology as well as a tourism center also make
their home on Mineral Area’s campus.
In its continued effort to offer a vibrant student life, Mineral Area has
expanded to include on-campus housing as well as such campus facilities
as a state-of-the-art fitness and recreation center.

College of the Ozarks

College of the Ozarks is located in Point Lookout, Missouri and founded
in the Presbyterian tradition. Committed to academic excellence and
Christian principles, College of the Ozarks has become a reputable
institution of higher learning.
College of the Ozarks is a particularly unique university: called “Hard
Work U” by The Wall Street Journal, students are not charged tuition, but
instead work on campus every semester to earn their education. College of
the Ozarks discourages all full-time students from incurring debt, which
is why it does not participate in any government loan programs.
Though College of the Ozarks prides itself on its unique characteristics,
it still offers most traditional concentrations for a bachelor’s degree,
including pre-professional programs. Pre-professional programs help
students earn prerequisites for graduate programs in their field, such as
law, medicine, engineering, and pharmacy. College of the Ozarks also
offers teaching credential programs for those looking to teach
elementary, middle school and high school levels.
