Avera McKennan Hospital School of Radiologic Technology

Grant in 2023
The Avera McKennan Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, offers a 24 month Radiologic Technology program that is rooted in the Roman Catholic healing ministry of the Gospel. Avera McKennan strives to produce students who uphold Christian values throughout their medical career. The school's academics are designed to prepare students to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technology's certification exam. To be qualified to sit for the exam, students must have earned an associate's degrees. Since this degree does not have to be in Radiologic Technology, Avera McKennan participates with a number of colleges and universities throughout South Dakota to help its students earn their credentials to take the exam. Your instruction will be delivered through lectures, demonstrations and guided clinical experiences at the Sioux Falls Veterans Administration Center. Since your education will be completed in real hospitals, you will gain valuable work experience during your college life to prepare you for the demands of the career. Avera McKennan's coursework emphasizes the healing power of Christ's ministry. Students are expected to embody these qualities and be willing to dedicate their lives to helping others. To apply, students must submit an application, high school or college transcript, ACT scores and three letters of recommendation. Admissions are determined based on upon an applicant's character and willingness to succeed. For information on the availability of financial aid and other tuition assistance programs, please contact Avera McKennan.
