For example, groups of faculty, staff and students travel every spring to
Guatemala to serve the poor. Students also participate in volunteer work
throughout the community, working at soup kitchens, retirement homes,
hospitals, blood drives, and other charitable organizations.
Students at CCSJ also regularly attend to the needs of the world’s poor

CCSJ’s student life also reflects their commitment to Catholic teachings.
Bible study, religious services and a campus ministry are some of the
offerings. There are also clubs and organizations designed to foster
what’s learned in the classroom or to cultivate additional talents or
interests. These include a creative writing club, a media and fine arts
club and a club for criminal justice majors.
