Louisiana State University, Eunice

In addition to granting tuition waivers for eligible low-income students
as well as various scholarships and military benefits to those who
qualify, Louisiana State University at Eunice (LSUE) offers over 100
transfer degrees.
The campus in Eunice, Louisiana offers transfer academics in Arts,
Humanities, Social and Natural Science and Education majors. Since it has
such a wide network of transfer agreements students may transfer to any
public university in the state.
LSUE also has a substantial number of career training programs in Fire
and Emergency Services, Nursing and Respiratory Care and in highly
specialized fields like Arson Investigation and Crime Scene Management.
Students who are uncertain of their academic or career path may benefit
from the career services division at LSUE. Career services doesn’t only
assist with job placement and resume and interviewing skills. They also
give students the option of working part-time jobs or internships so that
they may explore a field of interest while still in school.
Applicants to LSU Eunice are encouraged to visit and tour the campus

Grambling State University

Grambling State University is a historically Black university located in Grambling, Louisiana, with more than a century of tradition. Established in 1901, the university offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs across five colleges, four focused on undergraduate studies and one dedicated to graduate education, delivering dozens of degree programs. The rural campus provides a quiet study environment, complemented by active student clubs and organizations. The university supports students with federal aid and institutional tuition assistance programs, and admissions are highly selective with program-specific requirements.
Southern University at New Orleans

Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) is a public historical Black college and university (HBCU) located near Downtown New Orleans, providing higher education for over 50 years. Founded in 1956, SUNO offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs across multiple disciplines, including Business Entrepreneurship, Early Childhood Education, Health Information Management Systems, Museum Studies, Public Administration, and Substance Abuse Counseling. The institution features a partnership with Delgado Community College that facilitates a "2+2" program, allowing students to complete their first two years at DCC before transferring to SUNO. Admission criteria include consideration of completed coursework, GPA, and potentially minimum ACT scores. Louisiana residents benefit from lower tuition rates, and the university provides financial aid assistance to eligible students. Beyond academics, SUNO promotes a vibrant campus life with numerous activities including Greek Life, sports, campus ministry, and community service opportunities, encouraging engagement and participation among its student body.
Xavier University of Louisiana

Xavier University of Louisiana, established in 1925 and located in New Orleans, is a mid-sized historically black Catholic university that emphasizes the liberal arts. It offers a range of bachelor’s degree programs in the arts, humanities, mathematics, and sciences, as well as master’s degree programs in education with specializations such as educational counseling and secondary teaching. Notably, Xavier has developed a fast-track teacher education program that can be completed in under two years. The university maintains a strong commitment to the African-American community while also welcoming students of diverse backgrounds from across the United States. Xavier is gaining recognition for its research activities, particularly in the sciences, and has received significant funding from national foundations. Student services include career counseling, health services, and various recreational and social activities, such as sports and community service. The university also offers financial aid options, including scholarships, loans, and grants, to support eligible students in their educational pursuits.
HealthyBR is a community initiative dedicated to promoting health and wellness in Baton Rouge.
