SAS Investors was a venture capital firm based in New York City, established in January 2001, that specialized in seed and early-stage investments primarily in technology companies located in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the United States. The firm focused on states such as New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Typically, SAS Investors made initial investments of up to $1.25 million, with a total commitment of up to $3 million over the life cycle of a portfolio company. It preferred to be the first institutional investor in its target companies and often sought co-investment opportunities.
