More like a mini university than a community college, Oklahoma City College’s academic and cultural offerings include everything from courses in the arts to health sciences studies to a Cultural Arts Center. At Oklahoma City College, located in Oklahoma City, you can get a degree in fields as varied as Film Production, Business, Sociology, Nursing and even pre-law. While you’re pursuing your degree you can also have a rich on-campus experience by participating in the varied cultural and social activities and clubs. There is, for example, the Bruce Owen Theatre, located which hosts everything from children’s theatre performances to touring performances for adult audiences. The Department of Student Support Services includes everything from a health center and mental health services to services for disabled students. There is also a career counseling center, which provides resources online and in-person. These include access to employment resources based on your field of study and access to career fairs. The student population is almost equally divided between full-time and part-time students. There is no on-campus housing available. Financial aid is available to eligible students and includes loans, grants, work-study and scholarships. For students who qualify there is even a need-based tuition-waiver program, which allows those with extreme financial need to attend OCC free of cost.
