The National Lottery Community Fund

The Big Lottery Fund is a distributor of National Lottery funding, established as a non-departmental public body by an Act of Parliament. It operates under the governance of a board responsible for setting long-term strategies and key policies, ensuring the Fund is managed effectively and efficiently. The board delegates the daily operations to the chief executive and a senior management team, who are tasked with implementing the board's strategies. The organization is structured into five portfolios, which manage funding initiatives across England, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and the wider UK. The Fund aims to support various community projects and initiatives, contributing to social improvement and development across the nation.
