Davis Wang Xiao Feng, Hu Wei Wei, and Xia Yi Ping founded Mobike on January 27, 2015, with its headquarters in Beijing, China. Mobike raised $600 million in Series E funding led by Tencent, bringing the firm's fundraising in 2017 alone to nearly US$1 billion in June 2017. It became worth US$3 billion in the same month. Chinese web company Meituan-Dianping acquired Mobike for US$2.7 billion in April 2018. Parent company Meituan-Dianping announced name change from Mobike to Meituan Bike on January 23, 2019 as part of an ongoing integration.
