With vendors grossing up to 14X their annual income via a 10-day beta in Haiti, Vendedy attained partnerships with IBM, Mass Challenge Accelerator, and Manatt Ventures. Since its inception, Vendedy has attained several recognitions, including the 2014 Poverty Alleviation Clinton Global Initiative Commitment, Singularity Top 5 Exponential Breakthroughs, Citi Mobile Fin Tech Top 20, Forbes Million Dollar Prize Top 40, IBM Launch Top 5, Chivas Venture Million Dollar Prize USA Finalist, MasterCard $15k Pitch Winner, SOCAP Award Winner, and the winner of the DEW Startup competition. Throughout 2015, the company continued pilot testing in the Caribbean and the Middle East. Street vendors, locals, and travelers have the ability to upload photos of local products online via their mobile device using the application enabling a traveling consumer to search, purchase, and pay via a message.
