As a wholly owned subsidiary, it operates the largest fiber network in Malawi, which serves as a crucial backbone for telecommunications across the country, including inter-border connections. The network features fiber metros in major cities such as Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu, facilitating comprehensive access to its infrastructure. Open Connect provides wholesale broadband capacity services to telecommunications providers, internet service providers, broadcasters, and corporate clients. Its offerings include wide area network connections, Ethernet services, fiber connectivity, and last-mile dark fiber solutions, ensuring flexibility and enhanced connectivity for its customers in domestic markets.
