Airbnb for private EV charging connecting EV drivers with homes and businesses in their neighbourhood. This will help EV drivers without access to EV charging find and book slow EV chargers in their area and help more people switch to electric. GoPlugable is on a mission to create World’s largest EV charging network by connecting home and business chargers to a private peer-to-peer network. This helps users without access to home chargers to switch to electric cars and also creates alternative base charging options for public charging, thus reducing the stress on public infrastructure. Our team stands out due to a unique combination of expertise, innovation, and community focus. Led by Maebh Reynolds, with her engineering background and strategic insight, and Andrine Mendez, known for his marketing acumen and entrepreneurial success, our leadership is both visionary and grounded. GoPlugable targets a £20 billion EV charging Total Addressable Market (TAM), expected to grow to £302 billion globally by 2032. We are aiming for a £396 million Serviceable Available Market (SAM) and initially focusing on a £144 million Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM). Positioned in a market with a 31% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next decade, GoPlugable is set to capture a significant share, offering substantial revenue and impact potential for our startup. GoPlugable differentiates itself in the competitive EV charging market by specializing in slow charging, unlike major providers like Tesla, BP Pulse, or Shell. Our direct competitors include Co-charger, EV Match, Joosup, Monta, and Fuuse, who offer similar services. Additionally, strategic partnerships with brands like Ohme, Myenergi, and SSE Airtricity have strengthened our go-to-market strategy. Overall, the platform has surpassed 1,200 downloads, demonstrating robust engagement and expanding our reach in the EV charging market. Bowsy

Seed Round in 2022
Bowsy is reinventing how companies manage their graduate recruitment talent pipeline and how undergraduate and postgraduate students enhance their job prospects while at the same time earning money by working in their field of study. Bowsy connects students with global businesses to replace traditional part time student work with study-relevant tasks and projects that can be completed remotely. For employers, Bowsy addresses: (i) inefficiencies and high costs in current graduate recruitment processes for large companies and (ii) underutilisation of a skilled, low cost and flexible student workforce, particularly amongst SME’s. Bowsy represents an opportunity for employers to replace ineffective resumes and assessment centres which have not changed since the 1950s and to evaluate potential talent based on actual observed performance and cultural fit. Through remote flexible tasks and projects, employers can work with an exponentially higher number of students at lower cost whilst addressing the graduate skills gap through study related work experience For students, the platform overcomes (i) unequal access to employment opportunities amongst many students due to physical location or background and (ii) the negative impact of working in traditional part time jobs on a student’s academic performance whilst they are studying. Academic research clearly shows that students who work in a job related to their studies are amongst the best academic performers and enjoy better careers, yet the vast majority still work in part time employment not related to their study. Recent research from Georgetown University also shows that the negative impact of working in non-study related and inflexible jobs, disproportionately impacts lower income and minority students who often have to work longer hours and have significantly less access to study related work experience. The platform was launched in Ireland in August 2020 based on a partnership with the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and is already generating revenue within the first month. In addition to this, Bowsy was also recently recognised as one of the top 30 early stage start-ups in Europe by EU-Startups.com and has been featured in the Irish Times, Technews and the Currency. Previously the MVP was piloted in Croatia where clients included Deloitte, Uber, Bayer and BAT.
