VH Technology s.r.l.
Grant in 2019
VH Technology s.r.l. develops Computer Vision solutions for businesses, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of manufacturing processes and logistics.
Computer Vision technologies enable machines to understand images and videos, as a human would do. This is particularly useful for automating some repetitive tasks which today are performed by humans, such as quality control in the assembly line. They use these and other technologies to develop industrial machines which are able to perform complex product/parts inspection tasks.
VH Technology recently created an innovative system for managing articles stocked in warehouses without the need of barcode. They developed a machine capable of recognising the products entering or leaving the warehouse simply by scanning their label. The same way a human would do. This product, which is patent pending, is particularly useful when the use of barcode is not possible or too complex (e.g. cellar management).

Time is money, especially in the transport industry. But despite ticking clock clear legal requirements must be met, how to secure the cargo against slipping. For the protection of the driver, for the safety of other road users and also for the protection of the transported goods. If you want to save lengthy lashing actions, today relies on anti-slip floors from KCN.
KCN anti-slip floors are the simple, efficient and time-saving solution for every type of load securing. The specially coated floors in combination with wooden pallets have such high frictional resistance that the goods are only loaded into the truck and significantly less lashing measures are required. For example, straps are usually only used when the dumping or moving of goods has to be prevented.

Holland Container Innovations
Grant in 2014
Holland Container Innovations (HCI) was founded in 2008 to find a solution to reduce costs of empty container repositioning. This issue costs the industry over twenty-five billion US dollars per year. HCI has since developed and marketed the idea for the 4FOLD foldable shipping container. The company is a spinoff from the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands.
In 2009, funded by private investors with a long term vision, HCI built a first prototype of the foldable container together with co-funder and co-creator CMA-CGM. This prototype served as a proof of concept. Two years later, in 2011, HCI built a new prototype that received the important Container Safety Convention (CSC) certification.
In close cooperation with a Chinese manufacturer, HCI built another redesigned and improved container in 2013. In March of that year, 4FOLD was the first 40ft foldable container in the world to receive ISO certification. This ISO certificate finally guarantees that the foldable container meets all industry requirements and paves the way for use in the existing logistic system.
