The company has developed an integrated supply chain for maize that spans from local farm-gates to high-value regional markets. Its operations include agricultural commodity processing and trading, post-harvest handling solutions, and logistical services such as drying, cleaning, bagging, storage, and distribution. Additionally, The Joseph Initiative provides infrastructural development and input distribution services, aimed at enhancing food security and improving rural livelihoods. The company operates through its Joseph Centres, which serve as technologically-enabled procurement and service distribution hubs, facilitating efficient grain supply across the region. As of September 2017, The Joseph Initiative operates as a subsidiary of Agilis Partners.
