DC Community Ventures is a community development venture capital fund that seeks to invest in companies in the Washington DC metro area that deliver both financial returns for the fund as well as social returns for the communities in which they operate. They target investments in underserved markets principally to promote economic opportunity for low and moderate income people, while seeking favorable risk-adjusted returns afforded by inefficient capital allocation. They offer flexible and patient growth capital through debt and equity investments with a long-term investment horizon.
