Bank of America Merrill Lynch is the corporate and investment banking division of Bank of America, established after the acquisition of Merrill Lynch in January 2009. Following the acquisition, the firm began rebranding its corporate and investment banking activities under the Bank of America Merrill Lynch name in September 2009. In April 2011, the division was further streamlined by integrating its corporate and investment banking operations. The firm has received recognition for its innovative approach, notably being honored as the Most Innovative Investment Bank of the Year in The Banker's Investment Banking Awards in October 2013.
