Student life at TSU provides another source for student stimulation. There are over 80 student organizations as well as an active cluster of sports teams. The career services department hosts career fairs and provides counseling and referrals to students and prospective employers. Financial aid offerings are available to those who qualify, and include everything from Texas state grants to loans, to tuition-exemption programs for eligible students.
